It’s not like we’ve never seen man on man action from Adam Lambert before but it seems that most people weren’t expecting his AMA performance to be quite so racy. I think they assumed he would “tone it down” for the awards show, why they would do that I don’t know, but that doesn’t matter, he went pretty far in the opposite direction.

Virtually every full video of his performance has been yanked off the internet, which I think is effing ridiculous, so to see the most controversial moments, other media opinions and a clip of Adam himself talking about it, check out this video below:

The kiss was a big one, not some tame little thing, it was vicious and it was HAWT. He says it wasn’t planned, he just went for it in the moment, okay, but personally I think some of the other bits of choreography that really pushed the envelope and those were planned. The guy on a leash and the whole held head at crotch level thing? WOW.

I’m not complaining at all, I’m glad he did it. This is who he is as an artist and a performer and why the hell shouldn’t he be able to perform the way he likes to. Censoring this kind of this is ridiculous. There was no nudity and it’s a performance, not a sex tape! Good for him I say, push it! The envelope I mean.

In an interview I watched with him talking about it, he said that he feels there is definitely a double standard in terms of women kissing each other and guys doing the same thing. While everyone was excited to see Madonna and Britney Spears kiss, they are throwing mud Adam’s way. Why? Lambert should have a right to kiss a man on stage, like he did during his AMA performance, if he feels like it.

I hope he keeps pushing these boundaries, this envelope, why should he change who he is as a person or as a performer?
