Just this last April 2009 Quinnipiac University conducted a national opinion poll that showed 2/3 of American Catholics are in favor of gay adoption. Huh.
Here are the numbers broken down by gay rights issue:
* 61% of American Catholics support gay adoption
* 68% of American Catholics support same-sex civil unions
* 64% of White American Catholics support openly gay people serving in the military and believe the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy should be shelved
Interesting numbers from the US Catholic numbers, I’m sure the numbers will only go up as the old people die off. Not that I want people to die or anything, but you know what I mean.
