Okay, I am going to break down the stats for the election in terms of the gay issues on the ballots. I am listing them per state along with the percentage of voters who were in favor of banning gay marriages and gay adoptions:
Arizona Proposition 102: Ban on Gay Marriage –> Passed the ban with 56%
Arkansas Initiative 1: Ban on Gay Couples Adopting Children –> Passed ban with 57%
California Proposition 8: Ban on Gay Marriage –> Passed the ban with 52%
Florida Amendment 2: Ban on Gay Marriage –> Passed the ban with 62%
I am saddened to see that we had no victories yesterday. I was sure that people had evolved more than this, that we as people were in support of the concept of live and let live. Obviously I was wrong.
It makes me glad I don’t live in the US.
