Pride jewelry does not have to be all about rainbows and flags, in fact a lot of people see the more traditional pride jewelry items as being down right tacky.
Now a days however pride jewelry can be nearly anything that either carries a message of acceptance and openness, or items that are sold to support a gay friendly cause. Let me re phrase that last one, pride jewelry can be a simple as a traditional gold bangle, so long as the makers and sellers of the items are donating part of the proceeds to a cause that in some way supports the LGBT community.
It is thanks to this second category of pride jewelry that we are no longer bogged down in traditional pride jewelry like rainbow pins and necklaces. I hate to say it but I really am getting stick of these.
In fact some of the new more modern pride jewelry that is coming out of independent design houses is downright fashionable and would look great being worn not only to the clubs, but also to a nice dinner party, or even, dare I say, a traditional wedding.
Because of this broadening of the trend pride jewelry has the power to move beyond just a niche market in to a much broader consumer market where people may have been uncomfortable wearing a rainbow on every appendage that would hold a bracelet. That is not to say that these people did not have pride, but rather they had the common sense to not wear a rainbow hemp necklace with a black cocktail dress.

Pride jewelry rocks, I love the ring you have pictured. It’s so nice to finally see quality gay pride rings instead of all the cheap crap that was popular for so long.
