I still believe in my little heart of hearts that the hate filled mob that voted for Prop 8 is going to find their efforts to reinstate the ban, are going to backfire on them in a big way. They are making everyone angry enough to truly step up and step out in a way they never have before.
Now, people who stand tall and proud will speak out more and to more people which in turn means their message of equality and fairness will be heard by more and more people. People who may not have really given thought to these issues before will join our fight for freedom, and in the end we will prevail, it’s inevitable.
No longer will the haters be able to push the issues and the people in the LGBT community into the dark corner that is their “place” in society. They are only helping to spread the word of equality and equal rights for everyone, they just don’t realize it yet. In the end they will be their own undoing, mark my words.
The gay and lesbian community is only getting stronger from this opposition, they are coming together and taking a stand like never before and I think in the end this will be a powerful force to be reckoned with and I welcome the day, we rise up and succeed in getting the rights we deserve, the rights others are born with simply because they have a different sexual orientation.
