Have you ever wandered into a jewellery store and been pretty disappointed with the selection of gay and bisexual jewellery on show? I mean, don’t get me wrong, but I just don’t “feel” the rings or necklaces that are on display sometimes. Not only would I not really want to wear them myself; I don’t think I’d be too happy at giving them as a gift either.

bisexual jewelleryThere are some shops around where I live that sell what they’d call “alternative jewellery”, which is kind of funny, since I’d relate alternative jewellery to the black stones and similar that Goths and punk kids wear. My, how we’ve grown… Anyways, although these little shops are there, their cups aren’t exactly running over with choice and quality, especially when it comes to bisexual jewellery.

Thank God for the Internet!

I found a couple of sites that not only had bisexual jewellery, but also other stuff like art, calendars, candles – you name it, they pretty much had it! Love and Pride is by far the most extensive and quality site for both casual and fine lesbian, gay and bisexual jewellery.

cufflinks sterling silverBut it was the jewellery I came looking for, and I wasn’t disappointed. For instance, I adore rings, and I’ve probably lost count of how many I have, never mind how many I’ve never worn. Doesn’t stop me from buying new ones, though. One ring that caught my attention in particular was a two-sided equality ring that really looked the part! And it was under $20, which silenced whatever flimsy argument I may have had against buying.

Although it’s annoying that there aren’t more shops around where I live, there’s plenty of bisexual jewellery to be found online. Some of the hottest and sought after pieces are part of the L Word jewelry collection and the Queer as Folk jewelry line. These are amazing and of course found at Love and Pride pride jewelry stores online.

They have some of the best gay and lesbian celebrity jewelry designers as well. Names like Udi Behr, Reichen Lehmkuhl (the image at the top of the post is from the Fly Naked with Reichen collection), Freddie Mercury and many others. Go and have a look for yourself – you won’t be disappointed!

I heard that special jeweleries are made for gay or lesbians but never had a chance of actually watching a site having stored all these jeweleries. I just checked out the site mentioned and loved their collections.

A little off topic maybe, but a request for people to think about the ethics of buying things like designer clothes. Do try and think about, for example, the materials the product is made with, the conditions of the factories where they’re made and the ethics of retailers. And try to recycle instead of discarding. Thanks!!!!

    hi
If a person wears rainbow gay jewelry does that mean that that person has homosexual tendencies?
