I know, I know there are probably a LOT of people who think I am one of those idiots but guess what? I’m NOT.

I just read an article and it’s one of those really annoying ones that get under your skin. Not one of those kinds of opinionated articles that keep me up at night or anything but while I can clearly see this person, Dave Thomas is his name, is trying to be fair, he’s actually pretty damn insulting in that ignorant kind of way.

Take this paragraph for example:

“Personally, I have nothing against gay and lesbian people. The kind of lifestyle that one chooses is their business, provided it does not impact others in a negative way.”

WTF is that?? “The kind of lifestyle that one chooses“? Seriously, we are still stuck on the whole choosing to be gay thing? Welcome to the next century idiot!

AND the dude keeps saying “the lifestyle one chooses” time after time. Beating a dead horse much?

Guy is against same sex marriage but, “There is nothing wrong with civil unions and those who purposefully discriminate against gays and lesbians are not cool in my book.” I will give him points for that…but not many.

He then blathers on about gay marriage, good that voters get to choose laws not judges, he’s proud to be straight etc. etc. etc. and then to top it all of he goes, “Proud to be straight and proud to be a Californian. Those are two choices I made in my life and I wouldn’t change either one.”

Really? Did he really, truly choose to be straight? At approximately 11 years of age go, “hmmmmm, hormones will be kicking in soon, it’s time for me to choose whether I want to bang chicks or dicks…what shall I be?”

Uh NO. I’m gonna say nope. He is straight because he was born that way just as every single gay man and lesbian woman was born to be interested in the same sex. DUH!

Did he even read what he wrote? Could he possibly be serious about his “take” on gays and same sex marriage? Honestly, I think when all is said and written, his article is more insulting than it is helpful or fair.
